Hi,

I do have a problem upgrading our OMEssentials version 1.30 to version 2.0.1. In fact it's a problem with uninstalling/repairing version 1.30 with the database installed on a remote database server.

In the log file there is an error:

Action start 13:35:15: caGetDatabaseOptions.MSI (c) (3C:5C) [13:35:15:802]: Invoking remote custom action. DLL: C:\Users\RMGADM~3\AppData\Local\Temp\1\MSIF12E.tmp, Entrypoint: m1

MSI (c) (3C!BC) [13:35:17:440]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding CD_DBOPTIONS property. Its value is 'FALSE'.
Action ended 13:35:17: caGetDatabaseOptions. Return value 3.
Info 2896.Executing action caGetDatabaseOptions failed.
Action ended 13:35:17: InstallWelcome. Return value 3.
MSI (c) (3C:7C) [13:35:17:611]: Doing action: SetupCompleteError

The OMEssentials server is a Windows Server 2008R2 with all Windows updates installed. On the server itselves there is another SQL instance installed for another application. The SQL server of the remote database is version 2008 (10.50.4295).

Another test that id did is removing version 1.30 by first remove de database information in the registry and then running de uninstallation wizard successfully. The same error to install version 2.10 with version 1.30 already removed.

What could be wrong?

Tx

Bart
