We have a number of esxi 5.1 hosts. We've configured them per the documentation, and can discover them with OME 1.1 (patched). We create a discovery range and use ONLY icmp and ws-man. It discovers them just fine.
The problem is we have other non-esxi hosts in the same segment. So we need our discovery range to also include SNMP, IPMI credentials, etc. The problem is that once we add those discovery options to our range, our esxi boxes now become "unknown devices".
We can only get a clean esxi server added if the discovery range ONLY has ws-man. First of all that seems like a bug. But if that's not, then we need a way to exclude certain hosts from a discovery range (but not globally exclude them).
