I know this has been discussed before, but I have not seen a firm resolution for this.
We have discovery ranges setup by subnet. There are no duplicates or overlap so that should not be an issue. We had a critical system that experienced a hardware failure but because it had "disappeared" from OME, we did not get an alert.
No changes were made in OME or on the host side and I added an individual discovery for this host only. I was able to discover and inventory this host without issue. Previously, only the console connection showed up which happens to on a different subnet. How can I/we determine why this host dropped out? Using the troubleshooing tool, SNMP and Services both returned positive results. Any help is greatly appreciated.
