OME System Update, false compliance report

Following up on my last post

For my Gen 12 and Gen 13 ESXi 6.0 servers, I decided to uninstall OMSA, install iDRAC Service Module and rebooting the hosts.

After deleting a couple of test devices from OME, and re-running discovery against the iDRAC ip addresses, the devices show up using the iDRAC DNS names, which is expected after what was explained in the linked post above.

After this, I visit the System Update compliance report in OME, currently using Dell Online Catalog. As expected, the two devices I'm testing on are Non-Compliant. There is a newer BIOS, NIC Firmware etc.

Next I re-run discovery against the ESXi Management IP address using WSMAN. After this, the devices in OME is renamed from the iDRAC DNS name to the ESXi host name, which is exactly what I want.

But now, when I revisit the System update compliance report, suddenly, both devices are listed as Compliant.

Any ideas why? Seems like if I want correct device naming, I'm sacrificing firmware compliance reports.
