Fresh OME unable to register vCenter

I have a Dell 2950 server that has ESXi 5.0 installed on it. It has been a while since I have logged in to check the health of it but I noticed that using the vSphere client the health has some alerts for "Disk Drive Bay 1 Drive X: In Critical Array - Assert" status of Alert. I did some searching and saw that you either need to boot in to the RAID config to check drive health OR use Dell Open Managment so I downloaded Dell OME and got it up and running.

When I attempt to register my ESXi server it gives me the following message:

"An unknown exception has occurred and has been logged in the extended logs."

I was trying with the root vCenter account and it was failing so I created a new account called "dell" and gave it the Administrator permission. I can see if the logs where OME is making a successfuly connection to ESXi but thats where I'm stuck. I don't see anywhere in vCenter where there are extended logs and I don't see anywhere to access any logs/extended logs in OME.

My ESXi has the default self signed SSL certificate an I'm not sure if this is an issue or not.

Any help is much appreciated
