We are running Windows 2008 R2. I am trying to execute the system updates and I can tell that the updates are being executed on the server via Task Manager, but after it completes, the system update task just hangs for a long time (at least 30 minutes or so) and says it failed.
The Execution Summary says: The task failed for the target device.
The Results when selecting that task says: Results: Timeout was reached for obtaining the software update status from the target device. Please verify you can still connect to the device and manually run the inventory to determine if the update was successful.
It's not a network error as I am logged in to the server as the updates are being executed and completed and I manually run the inventory update from the Discovery and Inventory section and notice that it's compliant for a split second and then becomes non-compliant on the Compliance Report.
Is there a resolution to this issue?
