I am looking to implement OME 1.1 across a Dell Estate covering several generations of PE systems, many of which host Windows 2003 and below (for various reasons). Looking at the Upgrade Matrix, it would appear that any system below Windows 2003 R2 SP2 is not manageable. Am I reading this right? What are my options for trapping key events on these hosts. Will I need to use SNMP without OMSA?
As it stands, we will see a reduction in functionality as ITA is currently deployed and manages Windows 2003 systems and below. I hope there is a solution for these systems because deployment of OME may hinge on this.
