Issue:
I have a R720 that when discovered comes back with the incorrect name, correct service tag, and the IP Association is not correct... and even comes back with multiple IP's associated. Also shows unknown health status.
I'm discovering the device through SNMP only to a range of IP's that this server is contained.
Info 2/7/2013 9:45:30 AM Discovery is re-using the database entry for Device <DeviceName> based on name only. Either discovery could not obtain MAC Address information for the device during a previous discovery or there are two devices on the network with the same name.
Testing:
Using the troubleshooting tool to test SNMP via hostname and IP I get the same except when queried by IP it doesn't bring back the MAC address of the box.
I've tried adding it via hostname into the discovery range and it still comes back with the incorrect name.
I've tried discovering through the drac and it it's the same.
In my app logs I have the following entry:
I've flushed the dns cache on both the OME box and the host I'm trying to discover and nothing has worked thus far.
