Hi - as a test, I setup a VM with OME v1.1 with the patch for 1.1 installed. I had our SQL DBA move a backup of OME DB to a SQL test server. I installed OMEv1.1 with the patch fine and attached to the remote SQL test DB. Everything was working as designed and saw all our servers and ranges.
I then began the upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2 and which it failed. The message at the end stated that the OME would return to the previous version which it was not, since during the upgrade it uninstalls v1.1. Along these same lines it removed the DB from the remote SQL server. So make sure you have a SQL backup copy otherwise you may lose your DB.
This is the second time during an upgrade that I have run into this issue. The last time I was upgrading from v1.0 to v1.1. I opened a support ticket and the Dell tech could not resolve my issue and told me that I needed to do a clean install of v1.1, which as everybody knows is a pain. Currently we have 750+ servers on it and want to know if anyone else has run into this doing an upgrade to OME v1.2?
