Credentials for WSMAN

I'm trying to discover & inventory 2 of my ESXi 5.1 (build 799733) servers using WSMAN but I need some clarifications.
Am I supposed to point the IP to the ethernet connection & enter the ESXi root credentials _OR_ am I supposed to point it to the iDRAC IP & enter the root / calvin credentials?

I tried the latter but failed. My attempt to test the former on Troubleshooting Tools was successful though so I'm kinda confused since I was under the impression that I should point it to the iDRAC.
