We stop rec email alerts after a while from the Dell OM Essentials console. The SNMP traps are working correctly as well as inventory and status updates. When the server that is running the OM Essentials console is rebooted alerts start flowing again.
I am wondering if this is happening after the weekly discovery schedule runs which is set to run on the weekend? The status polling schedule is setup for polling every 1hr and the inventory polling is set to run on the same day as the discovery but 2 hours later. Is it possible one of these tasks are causing a conflict with each other or possibly the weekly discovery schedule that runs consumes to many resources to allow alerts to be captured? I don't see any alert log warnings regarding alert log size reaching max capacity, etc.
We have the discovery set to discover by "Instrumented Devices" and using DNS name resolution. The speed is set farily slow (about 1/4 - 1/5 up the slide scale)
