I'm monitoring a number of iDRAC6 and iDRAC7 systems. They have been discovered using WS-MAN and OME is successfully picking up health status issues such as failed power supplies and such. The home portal and hardware logs for each system show this warning status. However, these issues do not appear in any 'alerts'. It seems that only SNMP traps appear in alerts and that only alerts can be used for sending notification emails.
Is it possible to have notification emails sent using only the data collected from iDRAC over WSMAN, without sending SNMP traps? I'd rather not configure SNMP on each system since OME is already gathering the information I need.
If I must use SNMP will OME poll the systems occational to discover these alerts or must traps be configured for sending?
