What is preferred best practices for creating discovery ranges?
I have a /22 with a few hundred servers as well as PDUs, SANs switches and KVM units. Those use different protocols for discovery.
Is it better for me to make one range that has the multiple protocols or is it better to break up the ranges to cover exactly the unique devices tied to each protocol.
I am looking for speed, processing efficiency and looking to minimise possible lack of connectivity to a device during discovery, inventory and status polling.
